Don't think I could have said it any better. I think the 'shit' he refers to is the one little whiff he can never seem to get rid of after kissing his boss's ass all day; thus, what he thinks is shit, actually is, but it's only that ever-lovin' fragrance, and; so, he goes around all day thinking that everything is shit because in his actual reality, he is.
